Makarska Riviera full of tourists, steep prices for accommodation and food

Makarska Riviera is full of tourists who have come from all over the world, and a large number of guests from BiH are in Tučepi, reports a reporter of the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Accommodation prices compared to previous years are higher by up to 50 percent, but capacities are mostly filled. Lunch for two adults and a child in catering establishments will cost you around 50 KM, while fruit prices range from 25 kuna (6.90 KM) per kilogram and more depending on the type.

Renting a sun lounger on the beach costs 30 kuna (8.30 KM), so few opt for this type of comfort, writes Patria. There is no justified reason for the high prices, but as locals say among themselves, the loss from July, when due to bad weather and a lack of guests earnings were lost, must be compensated.

Otherwise, sunny weather prevails on the Adriatic with high temperatures and occasional light cloudiness. And if you decide to head to the sea, at the Doljani border crossing on the exit from BiH, the wait is two hours, and at the entrance to BiH about an hour.
