Makarević: I am proud that 70 ambassadors attended the ceremony on the occasion of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day

A ceremony was organized at the BiH Embassy in Pakistan on the occasion of our country's Independence Day, writes the Patria News Agency.  .

At the invitation of BiH Ambassador Nedim Makarević, out of 78 foreign ambassadors in Islamabad, as many as 70 attended this grand ceremony. 

The guest of honor was the Minister of Military Production, Tanvir Rana Husein.

In addition to him, special guests and thus guests in the boxes were EU Ambassador Lars Wigemark, who is to take up his post in BiH as EU Ambassador next month, US Ambassador Richard G. Oslon, Turkish Ambassador Babur Girgin, Hungarian Ambassador Istvan Scabo, Bulgarian Ambassador Rumen Stoitchev, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Rodolfo Martin Saravia, as well as guests from the host country, General Ehsan Ul Hak and former Ambassador of Pakistan to BiH, General Khalid Jaffer.

The anthems of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Pakistan were played at the ceremony.  In his welcoming address, BiH Ambassador Nedim Makarević explained to the high-ranking guests the importance of celebrating Independence Day and the suffering BiH had to go through from 1992 to the present day.
