Mothers hand letter to Clinton: US must urgently release confidential documents on Srebrenica

President of the Association Movement of Mothers of the Srebrenica and Žepa Enclave Munira Subašić today handed a letter from the association to former US President Bill Clinton in Potočari, reports a reporter from the Bosnian news agency Patria.

A copy of the letter was distributed to journalists in Potočari. In the letter, the mothers gathered in this association demand that the US "urgently release confidential documents related to intercepted conversations between the leaderships of Republika Srpska and Serbia before the events in Srebrenica on July 11, 1995."

As stated in the letter, these are intercepted conversations from June 20 to mid-July 1995 between then-President of Serbia Slobodan Milošević and former Commander of the Army of Republika Srpska General Ratko Mladić, as well as conversations between Mladić and General Momčilo Perišić, and conversations between Perišić and Milošević.

These are conversations that have not been published anywhere yet. The association explicitly demands that these documents be published as soon as possible, and no later than the end of this year.
