Mahaluša announces her new work to journalists: Mahalac and the European Woman are coming

On the occasion of the new work created based on the idea and work of author Indira Kučuk-Sorguč, a press conference will be held on Tuesday, December 2 at 12:00 PM at the Chamber Theatre, where the author will present the comedy „Tako ti je mala moja kad ljubi Mahalac“ which will premiere on Friday, December 5 at 8:00 PM at the Chamber Theatre 55, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria. 

This is the third work from the „mahalanje“ trilogy, which over the past four years has sparked a wave of laughter, entertainment, and comedic plots parodying male-female relationships. Previous plays produced by FILTER have shown that Bosnia and Herzegovina has audience power, attracting over 100,000 visitors, and have brought theatre to large halls across BiH, the region, and beyond.

„Tako ti je mala moja kad ljubi MAHALAC“ is a comedy that ironizes reality and all contemporary perversions, from snobbery, pretentiousness, double standards, materialism in love, complexes, and more.

Mahalac is a character who has the nerve, just like a court jester, to tell the ruler what he thinks and stay alive. He is depicted that way on the poster, emphasizing with his grotesque appearance the humorous side of the Bosnian mentality.

He says: „Come on, come on, the last Bosnian primitive in the play Tako ti je mala moja kad ljubi Mahalac, which plays at the Chamber Theatre on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and indeed on the 24th of December.“

The lead role is played by the best young comedian in BiH, Nerman Mahmutović, while his wife, the European Woman, or the pretentious Bosnian woman, is played by the outstanding Negra Čičić. One of the media sponsors of this play is the Bosnian news agency Patria.
