Fog reduces visibility, frequent landslides on certain road sections

(Patria) - Traffic on roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina is on intermittently wet or damp pavement.

Due to frequent landslides, we highlight the roads: Turbe-Karanovac, Jajce-Banja Luka, Banovići-Ribnica, Bugojno-Kupres, Rogatica-Ustiprača, Kladanj-Vlasenica and Sarajevo-Foča, as well as the Rostovo pass (Bugojno-Novi Travnik) and Makljen pass (Prozor-Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje).

Fog and low cloud cover reduce visibility in the wider area of: Mostar, Čapljina, Sarajevo, Kakanj, Zenica, Glamoč, Banovići, Kalesija, Potpeć, Kiseljak, Bugojno, Vitez, Prijedor, Foča, in higher elevations: Makljen, Mlinište and Kupres, but also in valleys and along river courses. Due to strong winds, we warn of the possibility of fallen trees on the road in western Bosnia.

We appeal to drivers to drive with maximum caution and to maintain a safe distance between vehicles. We also ask other road users to be careful and to comply with all traffic regulations.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje main road, traffic is permitted for vehicles up to 3.5 tons, while traffic for vehicles over 3.5 tons is still suspended.

There are no long delays for passenger vehicles at border crossings for now.

Due to the registration of passengers under the new system of entry and exit into European Union countries (EES, Entry/Exit System), longer delays at border crossings are possible.

Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons. As of December 2, 2025, the Karakaj border crossing is open for all categories of vehicles. Traffic for all freight vehicles is prohibited at the Šepak border crossing.
