Fog briefly hampered landing at Sarajevo airport this morning

The fog that descended on the Sarajevo settlement of Butmir this morning briefly made landing at Sarajevo International Airport difficult, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

A "Turkish Airlines" plane had to circle for about ten minutes above the airport this morning before landing. The first attempt to land the plane was unsuccessful for the pilots, so they managed to land the plane safely on the runway only on the second try.

Such occurrences at Sarajevo airport are not uncommon, given that fog is frequent and dense over this part of Sarajevo. However, no serious incidents have ever been recorded so far.

Air traffic over the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is now normalized, writes NAP.
