Magazinović seeks answers from the State Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - State representative in the House of Representatives of the PS, Saša Magazinović, today sent questions to the State Regulatory Agency for Radiation and Nuclear Safety regarding the radiation incident within the former Energoinvest – Termoaparati (TAT) company premises in Stup.

Magazinović posed the same questions that journalists had already sent to that institution and to which they had not received an answer.

The representative requested answers to questions about what was done after the cesium leak in May 2019, whether the impact on people and the environment was analyzed, and whether radiation levels were measured.

"Is it true that an area of 40,000 square meters was contaminated and that it happened near water. Why were the public and citizens living in this area not informed about it?", the questions state.

Magazinović is seeking answers both as a representative and as a resident of the settlement where the incident occurred.
