Magazinović: A very serious political period ahead for BiH, with attempts to redraw internal borders

President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić said after the constitutive session of the Main Committee that the SDP will form its own group which will, in the coming period, talk with all political parties of the left spectrum that are ready to be part of that story, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

- Certainly the first of those parties with which we have already talked at the level of presidents is the Democratic Front. What is already happening in the Parliament of FBiH, it is noticeable that this very close cooperation is being achieved, and I am sure that in the time ahead, some other political parties will join that bloc - said Nikšić.

He also added that at this moment the SDP is dealing with preparations for local elections.

- We said very clearly that there is no need to rush with the unification of those political parties until the local elections, but we have already agreed in principle to go with a joint candidate for mayors, and each goes with its own list - said Nikšić.

President of the Main Committee of the SDP Saša Magazinović said that from today the SDP stops dealing with itself and turns to what political parties exist for.

- A very serious political period for BiH lies ahead, I say this primarily because amendments to the Election Law are going into procedure, we still have a vague coordination mechanism, and these are very important things not only for the European path but for the future of BiH in terms of attempts to redraw internal borders - said Magazinović.
