Maestro Nuhanović at "Days of Bosnian Music in Turkey"

At the suggestion of the BiH Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey Damir Džanko, a concert titled "Days of Bosnian Music in Turkey" will be held in October this year, it was agreed on Friday, February 27, at the directorate of the Turkish Opera and Ballet, reports the Patria News Agency.

The delegation consisted of Ambassador Džanko, Dr. Rahman Ademi, Director of the Yunus Emre Institute for the Balkans, Aida Yanik, representative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, and Maestro Emir Nuhanović.

The delegation was received by the General Director of the Turkish Opera and Ballet, Maestro Selman Ada. In addition to the aforementioned concert, future cooperation between Maestro Nuhanović and this most significant musical institution in Turkey was also agreed upon.

The same delegation also visited the Presidential Orchestra in Ankara and spoke with the director of this orchestra, Aycan Sancar. An early visit of this orchestra to BiH was agreed upon, specifically to Sarajevo, Banja Luka, and Mostar.

Maestro Nuhanović, as the conductor of these concerts, will propose the program in the coming days. Several more concerts are planned in Istanbul as well. This is a great recognition for our artist, who very successfully led the Sarajevo Philharmonic from 1994 to 2007, and who today is not even allowed near it.

World-renowned connoisseurs of his work and oeuvre, unlike local artists, have recognized the qualities of Maestro Nuhanović, who receives numerous invitations from countries in the region as well as Turkey to collaborate with their musical institutions.
