Hungarian Minister of Defence visited EUFOR troops in Butmir

(Patria) - Hungarian Minister of Defence Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky and Chief of Staff of the Hungarian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Gábor Böröndi visited the Butmir base.

Commander of EUFOR, Major General László Sticz briefed them on the current security situation in BiH, the time Hungary served as mission leader, and EUFOR's assistance to local partners in ensuring a stable and secure environment in BiH.

Sticz accompanied the visiting delegation at a meeting with the Minister of Defence of BiH Zukan Helez and the Chief of Defence, Lieutenant General Gojko Knežević.

The delegation also had the opportunity to meet with the Hungarian contingent, as well as to observe a demonstration and tactical exercise of EUFOR elements - the Multinational Battalion, the Aviation Squadron, and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team.
