Hungarian Tibor Szabo takes over as new Chief of Staff of EUFOR

(Patria) - Brigadier General Tibor Szabo of the Hungarian Armed Forces was officially appointed as the new Chief of Staff of EUFOR at a ceremony today at the Butmir base in Sarajevo.

After excellent service in numerous international operations, Szabo now joins the EUFOR command group, alongside Commander Major General Florin Marian Barbu and Deputy Commander of EUFOR Brigadier General Uberto Incisa di Camerana.

Szabo took over the duties previously held by Brigadier General Herbert Sailer of the Austrian Armed Forces.

The position of Chief of Staff strengthens EUFOR's commitment to enhancing operational capabilities in support of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EUFOR remains a steadfast, capable, and reliable partner in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens of BiH.
