Step-motherly attitude of the state: Out of KM 937,000 for sports, not a single mark for clubs and associations from USK

The Management Board of the Sports Association of Una-Sana Canton expresses protest and indignation regarding the way state institutions distributed the funds of the current grant "Co-financing of sports events" for the year 2015, reports the Patria News Agency.

The Council of Ministers adopted the Decision on the distribution of funds of the current grant "Co-financing of sports events" for the year 2015 in the amount of KM 937,000.00. Out of 122 sports associations in a specific sport, sports associations - clubs, which received this grant funds, not a single Association, sports association - club comes from the area of Una-Sana Canton.

- We consider this attitude of state institutions towards sports, sports workers and athletes of Una-Sana Canton to be devastating, step-motherly and discriminatory, because over 12,000 athletes are involved in sports in our canton, existing in more than 300 sports clubs - associations - the statement said.

Una-Sana Canton, with its 300,000 inhabitants, significantly participates in filling the budget, but unfortunately in practice, not in its redistribution. It is a devastating practice that institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina only remember Una-Sana Canton during pre-election activities.
