Luxembourg authorities returned 12 asylum seekers from BiH in January, 15 each from Serbia and Montenegro, writes the BiH news agency Patria. 66 applications were rejected, and 53 asylum seekers were returned to the countries they came from.
During January, 15 asylum seekers were granted refugee status and remained in Luxembourg.
Compared to the same period last year, the number of asylum seekers is decreasing, and in December 2014, 83 of them applied for asylum.
According to statistics, most asylum seekers come from Europe, with the largest numbers from Montenegro, Kosovo, and BiH. Twenty asylum seekers arrived from Africa, including four from Nigeria and three from Somalia.
