(Patria) - President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik spoke today in Banja Luka with the Belarusian Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Budapest, Vladimir Ulahovich, who conveyed an invitation from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to officially visit that country.
Dodik informed the Ambassador of Belarus about the political situation in the entity, as well as about "various mechanisms of pressure on Republika Srpska and attempts at its delegitimization," Dodik's cabinet announced.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska is institutionally stable and respects the Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement, and highlighted the commitment of the entity's institutions to preserving peace and stability.
He expressed his belief that the relations between Republika Srpska and Belarus, based on firm friendship and mutual trust, will be further improved.
The meeting at the Palace of Republika Srpska was also attended by the Honorary Consul of Belarus in BiH, Nedeljko Elek.
Let us remind you, Belarus is under European Union sanctions due to its involvement in the war in Ukraine.
