Lukač still under investigation, Zubac soon in the courtroom

An investigation against the Director of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) Dragan Lukač is still ongoing at the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, following a report filed by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), reports the Patria News Agency.

- The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office received a report marked "confidential" from the State Investigation and Protection Agency - SIPA. Given that it is a file marked "confidential", we cannot provide any information to the public at this stage of the proceedings – the KS Prosecutor's Office told Patria.

Otherwise, it was previously reported that SIPA investigators allegedly established illegal actions, namely Lukač's abuse of position regarding the payment of compensation for accommodation and utility costs, to which they allegedly, according to legal regulations, are not entitled.

SIPA accuses Dragan Lukač of not revoking an illegal decision, thereby allegedly acquiring property benefits and damaging the Federation of BiH by more than 10,000 KM.

Also, SIPA allegedly filed a report against Lukač for the criminal offense of deleting work experience, which was recorded in the PIO/MIO Sarajevo Fund, in order to prevent the implementation of the Law on Police Officers in the part concerning the termination of employment.

Otherwise, this report was commented on by some as revenge by Goran Zubac, director of SIPA, against whom an indictment for negligent work in office has been confirmed. We remind you that Zubac has not yet been suspended, because the Independent Board of the BiH PS does not yet have the seven votes needed to suspend Zubac and comply with the Law on Police Officers of BiH.

A hearing is expected soon at which Zubac will plead guilty or not guilty to the indictment charging him with negligent work in office.
