Bosnia and Herzegovina's best athlete Amel Tuka competed in the qualifying race for the 800 metres at the World Championships in London, reports the Patria agency.
In his qualifying group, he finished in fifth place with a time of 1:46.54, which was not enough to advance to the semifinals.
Although he was one of the medal favourites, Tuka bid farewell to the medal fight already at the start of the qualifications, which represents one of the biggest surprises at this World Championships.
Unfortunately, besides Tuka, our other two representatives at the World Championships, Hamza Alić and Mesud Pezer, also failed to pass the qualifications.
