British Parliament Lords Visit BiH

The House of Lords International Relations Committee is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. The delegation is visiting as part of research and analysis of the challenges facing the Western Balkans, as well as the consequences for British policy, especially after Brexit.

The delegation of four members, led by Lord Howell of Guildford, former Secretary of State for Transport and Energy, will have numerous meetings, including with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Josip Brkić, representatives of executive and legislative authorities at the state and entity levels, the Interreligious Council of BiH, representatives of civil society, the security sector, and the international community, including the High Representative. 

In addition to this visit, this analysis of the situation takes into account written submissions and oral testimonies from a wide range of relevant actors from the United Kingdom and the region. The analysis covers three areas: the challenges facing the region, the region's foreign relations, and British interests and policy. The request for an analysis of the situation was initiated in July, and the report will be presented at the end of the year.
