Former prisoners will visit the former Čelebići camp near Konjic tomorrow

The Alliance of Camp Prisoners in BiH, in cooperation with the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights of the RS, will organize a visit tomorrow to the former camp "Čelebići" near Konjic, where during the Serbian aggression on BiH, prisoners of Serbian nationality were held, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP), confirmed by the Alliance of Camp Prisoners in BiH.

The Head of the Council of Europe Office in BiH, Marry Ann Hennessy, will also attend the visit.

The "Čelebići" camp was operational from May to December 1992, and around 400 prisoners of Serbian nationality were held there, of whom 16 were killed.

The Hague Tribunal convicted Zdravko Mucić, Hazim Delić, and Esad Landžo for crimes committed in this camp.

Mucić was released in July 2003, after serving two-thirds of his sentence.

Delić's sentence of 20 years imprisonment by the Hague Tribunal was reduced to 18 years by a court decision on April 8, 2003, while Landžo's sentence of 15 years imprisonment was confirmed.
