Dr. Cerić's campaign logo is the result of a team decision

Some web portals have focused on the election posters of Dr. Mustafa Cerić, an independent candidate for the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to which there has been a reaction, reports the Patria News Agency.

- We are certainly pleased that the poster has already been noticed, and as for the artistic and graphic solutions, the logo was created by teamwork and represents the initial of our candidate's name - "M" for Mustafa, while the number "1" means one God, one Bosnia, one state, and one goal - freedom.

The vertical line on the left symbolizes a good Bosniak, who stands upright and kneels before no one, as Krleža once said: "...What is a Bosniak doing on a stećak? Standing upright! Head held high, hand raised! But nowhere, nowhere has anyone found a stećak on which a Bosniak is kneeling or praying, on which he is depicted as a captive.".

The dove is a universal symbol of peace, to which no one has a monopoly, and the four leaves of the olive branch in its beak symbolize our candidate's ordinal number on the election list.

Any similarity to any logo anywhere is a coincidence that is possible in graphic design, but it is proof that our candidate has universal significance, and therefore we consider any malicious interpretation to be a simple and dirty political campaign.

This also speaks to the strength of our candidate, as they try to portray him in the context of two completely different meanings, all for the purpose of moral discrimination, because some people know nothing smarter to do.

We are surprised that the media are more interested in graphic design than in years of theft, corruption, and other numerous problems that plague this society, the statement said.
