Love of the year doesn't count: To the registrar for the second time and in the sixth decade of life

The number of marriages concluded in 2013 in BiH was 17,623, and since 2007 there has been a tendency of constant decline, while the number of divorces in 2013 was 2,609, which is the highest since 2004, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

In the period 2004-2013, the highest number of marriages in BiH was concluded in 2007, as many as 23,494. Statistics show that the number of divorces is increasing proportionally to the decrease in the number of marriages. In 2013 alone, 15% of marriages were divorced.

To the registrar in the sixth decade

Of the 17,623 marriages in 2013, 15,987 women and 15,829 grooms went to the registrar for the first time. 194 women were already married, and 1,439 were widows. Among men, 290 were divorced, and 1,504 were widowers.

According to the age of the brides, the largest number of them are between 25 and 29 years old, 5,667. Then from 20 to 24 years old, 5,559, from 30 to 34, 2,309, from 15 to 19, 1,793, from 35 to 39 years old, 905, and 530 of them aged 50 and over went to the registrar.

According to the age of the grooms, the largest number of them are between 25 and 29 years old, 6,616, from 30 to 34, 3,884, from 20 to 24, 3,230, from 35 to 39, 1,615, from 40 to 49, 1,195, and 916 of them aged 50 and over concluded a marriage.
