Doctors in Sarajevo caused damage to the Institute amounting to 7.5 million KM

The newly appointed director of the Sarajevo Canton Health Insurance Fund, Kenan Crnkić, announced that at today's press conference he will reveal specific irregularities in the work of certain doctors who caused damage to the Health Insurance Fund of Canton Sarajevo (ZZO KS) in the past year amounting to millions, mostly due to over-prescription of medications, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

The loss of ZZO KS in the past year amounted to about 14 million KM, and it was primarily caused by the fact that the total consumption of prescribed medications was 7.5 million higher than planned.

The extraordinary press conference is part of the already announced activities to uncover and sanction irregularities in the healthcare system of Canton Sarajevo.
