Lists of all candidates will be published by August 28

The process of certifying candidate lists and candidates who meet the legally prescribed conditions for certification will last until August 8, and the final deadline for publication in the Official Gazette of BiH is August 28, said Maksida Pirić, spokesperson for the Central Election Commission of BiH, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

Otherwise, 753 candidate lists with a total of 7892 candidates were submitted to the Central Election Commission of BiH. Verification found that 480 candidate lists with a total of 4272 candidates are valid, while 272 candidate lists were found to contain deficiencies, and in this regard, the Central Election Commission of BiH informed the political entities whose lists contain deficiencies to rectify the deficiencies on the lists within 5 days.

The CEC rejected the certification of the candidate list of the political party "Democratic Party of Disabled Persons of BiH" for the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH - Electoral Unit 523 because this political party is certified for the mentioned level of government within a coalition. The provisions of Article 4.13, Paragraph (1) of the Election Law of BiH stipulate that a political party that is a member of a coalition cannot participate in elections for the same authority as a member of another coalition or as a separate political party.
