Nice gesture by Brčko utility workers: Donated 1,350 KM to single mother Remzija

No one knows how much this help will mean to me. My little girl is seriously ill. She is paralyzed. And we live on only 120 KM – says through tears of joy, single mother Remzija Avdić from the settlement of Prutače near Brčko, who lives with her paralyzed six-year-old daughter Adelis, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Today, employees of the Utility Company from Brčko donated 1,350 KM to her, as well as valuable clothing, food, and several other household necessities. There was also a big gift package for Adelis, which the little girl was most happy about. The utility workers' help will not permanently solve Remzija's problems, but it will at least, she says, make her life easier for a while. She and her sweet little girl will have enough money for food for at least the next few months.

Six-year-old Adelisa was born immobile. Her organs were fused to her spine. Doctors managed to remove the anomaly, but the child remained permanently immobile. Unfortunately, her health condition has worsened rapidly in recent months, so her mother fears for Adelis's life.

Last year, the Utility Company from Brčko was among the ten companies in BiH that invested the most in humanitarian work.
