Lijanovići, Bahilj and Galić Released from Custody

The Appellate Panel of the Court of BiH made a decision today to lift the custody of those arrested in the SIPA operation "Brend" on September 10, including the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federation Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, his brothers Jozo and Slavo, Minister of Trade Milorad Bahilj, and accountant Mirko Galić, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Otherwise, Vasvija Vidović, attorney for Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, filed an appeal against the Court of BiH's decision to extend custody for another 60 days.

The news that Jerko Ivanković Lijanović has been released from prison was confirmed to the Patria agency by the People's Party Work for Betterment, of which he is the vice-president.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office suspects these individuals of organized crime, causing damage to BiH in the amount of 11.6 million convertible marks, and they will now defend themselves from freedom.
