Lijanović for NAP: We have no ambitions to take over Agrokomerc, but their debt to us exists

Jerko Ivanković Lijanović denied that the company Lijanović has ambitions to take over the facilities of Agrokomerc in Velika Kladuša, after Agrokomerc incurred a debt to Lijanović worth around 500,000 BAM.

Before the Municipal Court in Velika Kladuša on August 28 this year, a hearing will be held where the court will offer the production facilities of Agrokomerc for sale, valued at over 21 million BAM, in order to settle the debt to Lijanović.
Sources of the Patria news agency claim that the best bidder will be Lijanović himself, or close associates of Lijanović, who will thus, due to the claim of half a million BAM debt from Agrokomerc, come into possession of this company's assets worth over 21 million BAM.

- We have no ambitions to take over Agrokomerc – Lijanović denied.

- As far as I know, there is some debt to us from Agrokomerc, but Agrokomerc is now operating and I hope they will be able to repay the debt that was incurred – Lijanović added.

The debt of Agrokomerc to Lijanović was incurred a little over six years ago, when the then management of Agrokomerc borrowed about 500,000 BAM from Lijanović, the former federal minister of agriculture and his family, and in return Lijanović registered a lien on Agrokomerc's assets worth over 21 million BAM.

Since Agrokomerc did not repay the debt, sources from Patria within this company claim, Lijanović is now trying to collect the debt by taking over their food production facilities, whose value is twenty or more times greater than the actual debt of Agrokomerc to Lijanović. All of this, sources from Patria within Agrokomerc claim, is part of a well-conceived criminal plan from the very beginning. However, Lijanović strongly denies such allegations.
