EUROPE LEAGUE Željo took the lead then stopped, Maccabi advances

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Željezničar was defeated tonight in Haifa by host Maccabi with a score of 3:1, thus being eliminated from European competitions. 

It was a postponed match of the first round of the Europa League. It was postponed due to the coronavirus infection of Željo's footballers. 

The Blues from Grbavica started well in Israel, with Ivan Lendrić scoring in the 34th minute, assisted by Semir Štilić. 

The joy of the Sarajevo Blues lasted for four minutes. The Israelis equalized with a goal by Cheri.

Rukavytsya gave them the lead in the 59th minute. Ashkenazi scored the third goal for Maccabi. 

Željo failed to do anything by the end of the match that would threaten the result of the team from Israel, which continues its competition in the Europa League.
