Lidl opens facility in Sarajevo

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Mayor of the Old Town Municipality, Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, announced today during a gathering with journalists the opening of a facility of the German retail giant Lidl in this municipality.  

“This morning I had a meeting with a delegation from the Sarajevo Canton. It concerns an investment in a facility where the German retail giant ‘Lidl’ should be located. I proposed a location where such a chain and facility could be situated in the Old Town. However, I made it clear that it does not depend solely on the Old Town Municipality, but also on cantonal agencies that must provide certain positive opinions. The Old Town is a municipality where you need to obtain approvals from various institutions for any construction. If an agreement is reached by all parties, ‘Lidl’ could come to the Old Town, as well as to the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina during this year. I will strive to bring such a German company to the Old Town, Sarajevo, and BiH,” announced Mayor Hadžibajrić.
