SDA and HDZ leaders begin talks on ministry distribution, DF seeks one seat in the Council of Ministers

Bakir Izetbegović and Dragan Čović have been discussing the distribution of ministerial portfolios in the Government of the Federation of BiH and the Council of Ministers of BiH since yesterday, writes the news agency Patria.

According to information obtained by Patria from the top of the SDA, the deputy president of this party and the leader of HDZ BiH should conclude this story by tomorrow, when the session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is held, at which Denis Zvizdić will be confirmed as the mandate-holder.

The leader of DF, Željko Komšić, is not attending the talks. He told reporters today that he has not yet received an invitation for talks with the leaders, but believes the process of completing the government can be concluded by the end of the week.

Komšić said that this party insists on portfolios, more precisely, if a certain portfolio is entrusted to DF, all appointments must follow the vertical line.

- We demand this so that it does not repeat as in the previous term, where everyone got mixed up, one party got the supervisory board, another the director, and it ended in political trading, even corruption. We do not want to engage in such a manner of managing any segment of this state - Komšić stated.

If DF is responsible for a certain portfolio, then, says Komšić, that party stands before the people of the state and is responsible for everything done within it.

Komšić also confirmed that this party initially sought the position of Minister of Civil Affairs of BiH, but in talks with representatives of the parliamentary majority, it was said that someone else has ambitions for that ministry, so DF is now seeking the position of Minister of Transport and Communications of BiH.

- However, what will be at the end of the negotiations is still unknown. I roughly know where DF has the capacity and in which field it can operate - said Komšić.

DF maintains its position that it will not seek positions for Bosniak or Croatian representatives in the Government of FBiH, and then three ministerial positions remain for representatives of the Serbian people and one ministerial position for members of others, but Komšić does not know what will be at the end of the agreement.
