RS leaders missed the chance to show commitment to European values!

Political leaders of Republika Srpska missed the opportunity to show their commitment to shared European values of peace and reconciliation, said the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP), on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Sarajevo assassination.

- We are pleased to see that a large number of events this month, related to the beginning of World War I, are focused on sending messages of peace, cooperation and understanding. This includes last week's bicycle race organized by Sarajevo and East Sarajevo – the U.S. Embassy stated.

According to them, a peaceful and prosperous future for BiH can only be ensured if one looks toward a shared future.

It is shameful that political leaders in RS tried to score political points by criticizing the mayor of East Sarajevo for his participation in this event – the U.S. Embassy emphasized, as reported by the Patria Agency.
