SNSD leader has lost authority: At Dodik's request, Patriarch Irinej gathered politicians from RS

At the Bishop's Palace in Bijeljina today, a meeting was held between Serbian Patriarch Irinej and members of the Holy Synod of Bishops with leading political representatives of Republika Srpska, reports the news agency Patria.

The meeting was attended by RS President Milorad Dodik, NSRS President Nedeljko Čubrilović, the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić, and the first deputy chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Mladen Bosić.

Patriarch Irinej said that at the meeting they sufficiently reviewed all the problems and ways to solve those problems.

Dodik stated that there must be more frequent discussions at all levels. This is an opportunity to emphasize the need for unity, Dodik said. He called on everyone to behave with restraint and engage in dialogue.

Ivanić said that some ambiguities regarding the Agreement between the Council of Ministers and the Islamic Community remain to be defined. Bosić stated that it was agreed that institutions should be respected and that the use of language that causes tensions should cease.
