Personal documents and jewelry found in mass grave near Vlasenica

In a mass grave near the village of Tugovo, along the Vlasenica - Han Pijesak regional road, the remains of 11 victims were found, confirmed the spokesperson for the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina Lejla Čengić to Patria agency.

Among the remains are two women.

Čengić confirmed that documents were found with some of the victims, as well as a gold earring that most likely belonged to one of the murdered women.

Although the identity of the murdered has not yet been confirmed, it is assumed that they are victims of Bosniak nationality, killed by Serb forces in the early '90s.

The grave was discovered on Wednesday. Čengić told reporters that they had been searching for this grave for about 15 days, but had been unsuccessful for two full weeks.

"Now that we have moved a few dozen meters from that location, we have found a mass grave," said Čengić.

The search for any potential new victims at this location will continue tomorrow, writes NAP.
