Last night, Lešinari, a fan group of the Borac football club, marched through the streets of Banja Luka carrying RS flags and "celebrating" the unconstitutional RS Day marked on January 9, writes BH news agency Patria.
This was just a prelude to today's scenario written by Emir (Nemanja) Kusturica for the marking of January 9, which was declared unconstitutional by the decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina following a request by the Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović.
Today, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, along with members of the government, is arriving in Banja Luka, a move that officials in BiH have called, at the very least, inappropriate. The Serbian newspaper Blic writes that today is being marked in an atmosphere of tension between the two entities of BiH, possibly the greatest since the establishment of peace and the signing of the Dayton Agreement, but also amid opposition from international representatives in BiH. Vučić's cabinet announced that this is a working visit to Banja Luka on the occasion of RS Day.
Leader of the Democratic Front, Željko Komšić, stated that "Vučić will try to smooth over his arrival," but that he should not have come. Other representatives of political life in the Federation of BiH share this opinion.
