Lendo visits Tuzla Canton

(Patria) - FBiH Vice President Refik Lendo visited Tuzla Canton (TK) today, where he met with representatives of local authorities, veterans' associations and health institutions.

He began the visit in the municipality of Kalesija, where he spoke with Mayor Nermin Mujkanović and the leadership of the Municipal Council.



Discussions covered the activities of this local community, economic development and the implementation of the most important infrastructure projects.

Special attention was paid to the negative consequences of the FBiH Government's decisions on the minimum wage without reducing the tax burden for businesses and the non-working Sunday on the economy, as well as opportunities for improving cooperation with the federal level of government.

Lendo also met with representatives of veterans' associations in the municipality of Kalesija, where talks focused on further cooperation between veterans' organizations and government institutions in preserving and improving veterans' rights.

During the visit, he also toured the construction site of the Preschool Institution in Kalesija and laid flowers at the central memorial to martyrs and fallen soldiers.

At the Dubrave barracks in Živinice, Lendo met with the commander of the 2nd Infantry Ranger Regiment of the Armed Forces of BiH, Faruk Ganić, with whom he discussed the upcoming commemoration of the 33rd anniversary of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Second Ranger Regiment of the AFBiH.



He concluded the visit at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla, where he met with the acting director of the institution, Prof. Dr. Šekib Umihanić.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the current state of healthcare, the capacities of the UCC, and opportunities for improving health services for citizens of TK and beyond.

Lendo also laid flowers at the Kapija memorial and paid tribute to the victims who died on May 25, 1995.
