Reading the letter from RS: Untruths, insults, and insidious insinuations against Bosniaks

(Patria) - Deputies of the ruling parties from RS in the BiH Parliament sent a letter to the US Congress and other international addresses, the content of which has no social, political, or legal weight.

The Vice-President of the FBiH, Refik Lendo, states that this letter is not only full of untruths but comes from a defeated, discredited, and repeatedly convicted Greater Serbian policy.

"Untruths, insults, and insidious insinuations against Bosniaks and their political and religious leaders are completely futile because it is well known at the addresses where the letter was sent that the Bosniak people, even in the most difficult circumstances, much harder than today's, defended and preserved their dignity, anti-fascist ideals, and the idea of BiH as a multi-ethnic state in which every citizen, regardless of their ethnic, religious, or any other affiliation, will live freely and have equal rights.

The letter, in its essence, underestimates the intelligence of the international community, especially the authorities of the United States, who know very well who committed aggression against BiH, whose military and political leadership has been convicted of war crimes, but also who is following that criminal policy today and thus represents a danger to the peace and stability of the entire region," Lendo states.

He emphasizes that attempts to dehumanize Bosniaks and reduce them to a religious group, and then impute radicalism and terrorism, cannot and will not change the political position of the Bosniak people.

"If the proponents of the policy led by Milorad Dodik, as well as some other regional centers, believe that by accusing the Bosniak people of radicalism they will put its political representatives on the defensive, and that we will prove to anyone that we are not 'radical' through some concessions at the expense of the state, people, and our identity, they are deeply mistaken.

Bosniaks have no need to prove to Dodik or anyone else that they are not radical, but they will let everyone know that they will never give up on Bosnia and Herzegovina, its multi-ethnic character, their faith, culture, language, and everything that constitutes our identity.

Milorad Dodik, if he truly cares about RS, should stop attacking Bosniaks, because thanks to their economic activity, that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina survives, but he should also refrain from attacking the Dayton Peace Agreement, because it is solely on its basis that this Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity even exists," Lendo stated.
