Lendo: Ideologies from 1992 have not disappeared, the fight for BiH continues

(Patria) – The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo, attended the central event "Days of Victory, Days of Pride – Vlašić 'Ljuta Greda' 2025.", where he evoked memories of one of the most significant victories of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and paid tribute to the heroes of the liberation struggle.

"Ljuta Greda is not just a place of the past – it is a place of remembrance, but also a warning. We do not forget here, we remember with pride. This is a symbol of resistance, courage, and victory," Lendo told the attendees.

In his speech, he particularly highlighted the contribution of General Mehmed Alagić, calling him "one of the greatest sons of our homeland" and recalled his vision, honor, and determination, which, as he said, were "built into the foundations of our freedom and statehood".

He described the liberation of Vlašić as one of the brightest victories of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, supported not only by fighters and commanders but also by their families.

Speaking about current challenges, Lendo warned that the forces that threatened the country's survival have not disappeared:
"Nowhere in the world is the identity, existence, and institutions of one's own country denied as it is here. We must not and will not allow that."

He called for political and social unity around key values – peace, territorial integrity, and the European future of BiH.

"Our goal must be membership in the EU and NATO. This is a continuation of the struggle we waged – for the security, freedom, and future of our children," Lendo said.

He concluded his address with a message of dignity:
"These are not lilies of hatred, but lilies of honor. We know what we fought for, and we will never forget it."

He thanked the attendees, comrades, and the families of martyrs for their perseverance and strength:
"Your presence is proof that remembrance lives, that pride endures, and that the homeland is defended even today – with truth and unity."

"May the memory of our martyrs live forever. May Bosnia and Herzegovina live forever," the Vice President of the Federation concluded.
