Lejla Tanović 79th female mountain biker in the world

After the opening part of the season and nine UCI races in just two months, the ten-time national champion and SMF team competitor Lejla Tanović holds 79th place among all female mountain bikers in the world. This is the best ranking so far for our competitor in this period of the year.

The most successful BiH cyclist competed over the weekend in two UCI C2 races held in Banja Luka and Kozara. In both races, Tanović took second place, while the victory went to Jovana Crnogorac from Serbia, also a participant in the Olympic Games in Rio. With these placements, our competitor earned 40 new UCI points for the ranking list, as well as her fourth medal from UCI races this season.

- A very good weekend of competition is behind us, Lejla collected a valuable 40 UCI points and showed good form despite the large number of races in the last two months. We are satisfied with the current 79th place on the UCI ranking, considering that the main part of the season remains, where Lejla will compete in the most important races and certainly improve her position on the UCI ranking. Now there is a short break from competitions and preparation for the upcoming races - said national team selector Amar Njemčević.

The next race for Lejla is the UCI C1 race in Hungary, which takes place in the middle of the month.
