Legendary CNN journalist Brent Sadler: I never imagined I would become director of the editorial board of N1

The first regional 24-hour news platform and exclusive CNN partner for the region, N1, today marked the first anniversary of its work, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

From N1, they proudly pointed out that the year of work of this platform in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region was marked by breaking news, reporters on the scene, exclusive reports and live broadcasts of the most important events, all with the highest journalistic standards.

All this, reminded the program director for Bosnia and Herzegovina Amir Zukić, placed N1 among the top ten cable channels.

- Integrity, accuracy of information and impartial reporting are the basic principles of the entire N1 platform - said Zukić.

- In just one year, we managed to become the most-watched news television in Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to TV beat measurements. We have particularly high viewership in the morning during the broadcast of Novi dan and in the evening when Pozitiv, Vijesti u 6, Horizonti, Scena, InfoBiz, and the news at 19:00 and 22:00 are on the program - he added.

Sadler recalled the very beginning of N1's launch in Sarajevo, which meant working without a studio, without equipment, without people, but with a clear vision.

- That was the vision to build a news platform unique for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, where we would also have centers in Belgrade and Zagreb - said Sadler, also recalling the time when he reported from the war in Sarajevo for CNN with colleague Christiane Amanpour.

- Not for a second in that dark time could I have imagined that twenty years later I would be the director of the editorial board of N1 and that we would be talking about the achievements of this television - said Sadler, emphasizing that the editorial guidelines of N1 television are in line with the highest international standards.

- It is not our place to take sides in the political arena; our job is to report the facts! - concluded Sadler and congratulated his colleagues on the first anniversary of successful work.
