Lazović: BH Blok could go into opposition only if Bosnia and Herzegovina had an institution for extraordinary elections

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - If there were an institution for extraordinary elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I could easily accept that the "BH Blok" goes into opposition, said the Vice-President of SDP BiH Miro Lazović tonight in the show "Odgovorite ljudima" on FTV.

But, Lazović added, since there is no possibility of extraordinary elections in BiH, if the BH Blok were to go into opposition for the next four years, "all opponents of BiH from within and from outside would be allowed to try to divide the country."

"BH Blok would then no longer have a reason to exist," said Lazović, reports Patria.

A group of intellectuals had previously stated that the entry of BH Blok into power with national parties after the October 7 elections would mean the collapse of the left in BiH, which consists of SDP, DF, and Naša stranka.

Lazović, however, believes that BH Blok not entering power would be disastrous for the country, emphasizing that if BH Blok decides to be the fourth pillar in power, it should certainly deliver certain principles to the national parties beforehand.
