False camp inmate Dukić raises national tensions on Dodik's orders!?

Who is actually Branislav Dukić, president of the RS Camp Inmates Association, who this morning "proudly" stated that a cross was erected on Zlatište above Sarajevo, from where innocent people and children were killed for four full years? 

Dukić is a pre-war resident of the Sarajevo neighborhood of Hrasnica. He lived in his apartment until 1994, and he was never actually a camp inmate, writes Patria.  

Earlier, residents of Hrasnica and wartime members of the Serbian Civic Council (SGV) of BiH, who know Dukić and his wartime path well, had already warned the public about this fact. 

This morning's provocation, according to Patria's findings, is a well-conceived political trick by the SNSD, aimed at raising inter-ethnic tensions before the elections. The erection of the cross on Zlatište followed the stoning of mosques in Banja Luka and Prijedor about ten days ago, and therefore, as October 12 approaches, it is expected that such moves will increase. 

It is precisely this latest provocation that gives Patria reason to remind the public who Dukić is, a blind follower of Dodik's regime. For his "spokesmanship," he was rewarded several years ago with the position of director of the SP "Obilićevo" (formerly the Mejdan hall) in Banja Luka. 

During the war, Dukić lived in Hrasnica with his wife Mirjana and son Dejan without any problems. He was even the commander of the multi-ethnic Civil Protection Work Unit and very active in the work of the Local Community, for which he had his own office in that neighborhood. He regularly received humanitarian aid, used the municipal telephone, and was spared heavy labor, and many in his unit often said that Dukić was a candidate for the “Golden Lily”.

He was an activist of the SGV, attending its constituent assembly in besieged Sarajevo, thanks to which he also received a pass to go through the wartime DB Tunnel of Salvation.

However, to the surprise of neighbors and SGV members, Dukić fled over Igman in September 1994. According to the testimony of one neighbor from Hrasnica, this was preceded by a tip-off Dukić received from the SDS from the occupied part of Ilidža, that he should organize the escape of military-capable men over Igman.

Their plan was thwarted, and security forces of the Army of the Republic of BiH arrested more than 100 military-capable men in the Osmica area. Some were held in military custody of the 4th Knight Motorized Brigade in Hrasnica, and some, due to lack of space, were transferred to the “Viktor Bubanj” prison in Sarajevo. Among the latter was Dukić.

Given that he was the commander of the multi-ethnic Civil Protection Work Unit, he was sentenced to two years in prison for desertion, i.e., violating the Law on Mobilization of BiH. He served only four months, because he was exchanged on January 20, 1995.

HE HAD A PRIVILEGED POSITION 

Nazim Mahmutović, wartime commander of the Municipal Civil Protection Staff in Sarajevo's Ilidža, was Dukić's first superior. 

- During the war, I gave him the position of commander of the Civil Protection Work Unit. He enjoyed great authority, entered the Municipal building every day, used phones, worked, supported us. He had a privileged position. He never did any physical work, never dug, he was simply a hajji among us, he enjoyed it - Mahmutović said a few years ago in the media. 

According to his words, members of Dukić's work platoon were protected by law. They had an eight-hour workday and regularly received cigarettes and food. 

- If anything happened to any of them, they would have the same rights as soldiers of the Army of the Republic of BiH, because that's what the law stipulated. If someone was wounded, they have the right to disability benefits; if killed, their family has the right to a pension. Unlike my civil protection, which did not receive veteran status - Mahmutović explained.
