False bomb threat at parking lot near British Embassy

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - After an anti-sabotage inspection of the parking lot next to the building housing the British Embassy, it was determined that the bomb threat was false, confirmed by the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton for the Patria agency.

- Sarajevo police were informed around 1:10 PM today that a bomb had been placed in Hamdije Ćemerlića Street, in the Novo Sarajevo municipality, in the parking lot within the building complex that also houses the British Embassy - said Suvada Kuldija, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

An anti-sabotage inspection of the area around the building in Hamdije Čemerlića Street, which houses the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as other institutions such as the Environmental Protection Fund and the Sava River Water Agency, was immediately initiated.

Police patrols and special units were dispatched to Hamdije Ćemerlića Street 39a. The building was cordoned off with yellow tape.

The prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina was informed of the case by the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies.
