Latić: My friend Dino Merlin brought to life the lyrics I wrote

The new song and music video by Dino Merlin „Školjka“, the biggest music star in these parts, has won the hearts of listeners in just a few days, and on the video service YouTube it has nearly half a million views. The lyrics for this song were written by Džemaludin Latić, a Bosnian writer, who shared his impressions with the Bosnian news agency Patria after the song's success.

- I am happy that Dino Merlin, my friend, did this exceptionally well, and my goal is for Dino, and I hope Hari Mata Hari as well, to be on par with Arsen Dedić and for Bosnia to have chanson, and I will write for both of them. I am completely happy – said Latić.

As he stated, he saw the music video on television, but he listened to the music more.

- The video distracts me, because I follow the music more and how my lyrics fit in and how Dino brought them to life – Latić told NAP.

The footage for the music video was shot in September 2013 in Sarajevo, Mostar, Počitelj, Neum, Hutovo Blato, and Marina Frapa. The arrangement of the song was handled by Dino's colleague from the previous album, David Vurdelja (Baby Dooks), who is known for his work on the song "Dabogda".

Final production was done at the famous London studio - Nevo studios, and the director of the video was Aladin Hasić. Animations were done by Ivan Ramadan, and illustrations and dialogues by conceptual artist Damir Nikšić.

Incidentally, the line „I love you, trust my heart“ has become one of the most common statuses on social networks.

After a full six years of preparation, the famous Bosnian singer Dino Merlin released his 11th album titled 'Hotel Nacional', and the songs „Ruža“ and „Školjka“ were the lead singles.
