Larisa Velić proposed as judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH

(Patria) - Prof. Dr. Larisa Velić, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Zenica, has been proposed as a judge of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the session of the Commission for Elections and Appointments of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

If her appointment is approved by the House of Representatives of the FBiH, she should succeed judge Seada Palavrić, who is retiring.

Velić received the highest number of points on the final list.

Last time, during the election of Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of BiH, the opposition insisted that the House of Representatives be provided with a list of multiple candidates, so that the House could choose, which is a legal provision, and not appoint, which was the case with the proposed single candidate for the Constitutional Court.
