Lakić claims there will be no gas supply cut-off for FBiH

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry Vedran Lakić, after today's session of the FBiH Government where the current gas supply situation was discussed, stated for the public that there will be no cut-off of gas supply for the FBiH region.

Sarajevo gas - Istočno Sarajevo has stated that a new contract must be signed for FBiH to have gas next year, which heats a large number of residents, especially in Sarajevo.

However, the relevant federal minister points out that there will be no problems with this.

"Regarding the gas price issue, which has affected us in the past few days, I must say that with the help of both entity governments, we have reached an agreement that there will be no cut-off of gas supply for the Federation of BiH. We are obliged at the beginning of next year to hold a joint meeting of the two entity energy ministers and the two company directors to agree on further steps.

Of course, not only did my colleague Minister Đokić and I communicate, but the two entity prime ministers, the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska, Mr. Nikšić and Mr. Višković, also helped to reach this agreement, so we have talks on this topic ahead of us at the beginning of the year," said Minister Lakić.
