Lagumdžija's profile flooded with members' messages: We want young, honest, and uncompromised people

Zlatko Lagumdžija, the SDP president, last posted on social media on October 15, when he announced changes, which Patria wrote about, but since then Lagumdžija has not said a word, not even after the resignations that have started pouring into the party.

However, the party membership has spoken out on Zlatko Lagumdžija's Facebook page, urgently demanding an extraordinary congress and a reorganisation of the SDP.

- After such a catastrophic result, I believe an extraordinary party congress is necessary, where every member has the right to vote to elect the president and the entire party leadership. Bring in young, honest, and uncompromised people, and naturally invite those sincere social democrats who are now forgotten, but who were the driving force and part of those who created and followed the idea of Social Democracy, and who now cannot express themselves. Now we need to truly follow and implement the slogan "united" in practice, but with new ideas, with new people, with real changes, supported by those who were among the first in the SDP for 20 years – one comment states.

- Dear Professor Lagumdžija, listen to the people a little, listen to the forgotten citizens and hear the reasons for such a debacle of the SDP, just as we should have listened immediately after the municipal elections when the drop in popularity and support for the SDP was felt. Do it today before it's too late, because people remember and punish every move, every word. Let's start acting like a true left-wing party and not sometimes with these, sometimes with those; let's be consistent with the idea of Social Democracy and show that idea in action. Remember us citizens, us sympathisers, us members every day, not just 10 days before the elections; be with us every day, put a little more soul into it, visit our old members, our sick, our pensioners – it further states.
