Lagumdžija calls on Komšić to unite

SDP leader Zlatko Lagumdžija has called on the Democratic Front and Željko Komšić "to see how and in what way they can unite the idea of social democracy in this country", reports the BH news agency Patria. 

In today's interview for Radio Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lagumdžija said:  

- I congratulate the DF and Mr. Komšić on what they have done. As far as I am concerned, the smartest thing for him is, and I take this opportunity to call on the DF and Željko Komšić to see how and in what way we can unite the idea of social democracy in this country. But, I have only one condition: don't be orange. Either you are red or you are not!”  

On the remark that he has been accused of being the reason gentlemen Nijaz Duraković and Ivo Komšić left, and that certain personal solutions are always associated with him as the SDP president, he emphasized:   

“Let me tell you right away, Miro Lazović and Ivo Komšić are people I have spoken with just these days and invited them - come on people, let's go in line with what the SDP offered in these elections - united. And many other honorable people who are leftists. You know what - it's useless! The SDP is still a company with 105 years of tradition. You cannot create some new leftist company from a test tube.“  

On the observation that he is blamed for being one of the gravediggers of social democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he says:  

“That is blamed on me by those who actually talk without any responsibility. It's easy to talk without responsibility. I wish them to continue to be critical of the SDP, but some of them call me out on that, well, as they say, since the raven turned black. Let them get off such accusations, let them engage in uniting social democracy, strengthening social democracy.”
