Lagumdžija: No one will be left without a roof over their head by New Year

Zlatko Lagumdžija, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated that during tomorrow's donor conference in Brussels, organized for the flood-affected areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina, funds will be secured for the first phase of repairing the damage caused by the floods in May, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

This means, Lagumdžija explained, that by New Year's, no one from the affected areas will be without a roof over their head or employment.

And, if the funds collected during tomorrow's conference are implemented in a timely and transparent manner, Lagumdžija said, there will be no problems in finding funds to cover the total damage of around four billion KM, caused to our country during the unprecedented floods and landslides.

- Our country's delegation is going to tomorrow's donor conference in Brussels fully prepared, with clear needs of our country, said Lagumdžija, writes Patria.

All 28 member states of the European Union, as well as a large number of non-EU countries, have responded to tomorrow's donor conference in Brussels, organized for the flood-affected areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

A large number of international organizations, as many as 16, including UNDP, OSCE, UNESCO, Islamic organizations, and others, have also announced their attendance, and will provide support to the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

The arrival of 31 international non-governmental organizations dealing with support for affected areas has also been announced. A large number of representatives from the private sector have also confirmed their attendance. The arrival of all international financial institutions has been confirmed.

The host of the donor conference is the European Commission, and co-organizers are France and Slovenia, writes Patria.
