(Patria) - Since this morning, an increase in the concentrations of polluting PM10 substances in the air has been recorded at cantonal measuring stations.
The presence of temperature inversion during the night and this morning has contributed to the deterioration of air quality, while the synoptic forecast indicates unfavorable conditions for the next two days.
According to data published at https://www.fhmzbih.gov.ba/latinica/ZRAK/AQI-satne.php, the highest PM10 values at 11:00 AM were measured at the Vogošća measuring site and amounted to 83 micrograms per cubic meter, with 73 μg/m3 at Otoka and 63 μg/m3 in Ilijaš.
Persons with chronic illnesses, children, the elderly, and pregnant women should avoid exposure to polluted air, especially in the early morning and evening hours when the concentration of harmful substances is highest.
The air quality situation is being continuously monitored, and in case of deterioration and the fulfillment of conditions for action according to the Intervention Measures Plan, a timely response will be initiated.
