(Patria) - The Cantonal Committee of the Party for BiH has conducted an analysis of the number of employees from 2016 to 2024.
They stated that the number of employees in 2024 was 547,660.
"The number of employees as of August 2025 was 540,049. According to data from the Institute for Statistics and Informatics of the Sarajevo Canton, the number of employees in 2016 was 129,031. The number of employees in 2019 was 152,394.
The number of employees in 2024, according to data from the Federal Institute for Statistics (the statistical yearbook of the Sarajevo Canton for 2024 has not yet been published), was 162,785. The number of employees as of August 2025 was 149,541.
Based on the above data, in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the number of employees in the period 2016-2019 increased by 73,529," state from the Cantonal Committee of the Party for BiH Sarajevo.
The number of employees in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period 2019-2024 increased by 16,177. This totals 89,706.
"The number of employees in the Sarajevo Canton in the period 2016-2019 increased by 23,208.
The number of employees in the Sarajevo Canton in the period 2019-2024 increased by 10,391, which totals 33,599.
The number of employees in the eighth month of 2025, according to official data from the statistical institutes in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is 540,049 (the number of employees in 2019 was 531,483).
In the Sarajevo Canton, as of August 31, 2025, there were 149,541 (the number of employees in 2019 was 152,394).
"As we can see, the number of employees in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina continues to grow compared to 2019, while in the Sarajevo Canton, the number of employees, for the same period, has a downward trend. In 2025, in the Sarajevo Canton, regarding employment, time has stopped and everything has returned to 2019 when the Troika took power," stated Almir Bečarević.
