KV SBiH Sarajevo demands urgent action from authorities regarding threats to Srđan Srdić

(Patria) - The Cantonal Board (KV) of the Party for BiH (SBiH) Sarajevo demands that the police and judicial authorities of Sarajevo Canton (KS) immediately provide full protection to the SBiH councilor in Novi Grad and Sarajevo City, Srđan Srdić.

"Members of the People and Justice (NiP) party, who are losing ground and exhibiting increasingly schizophrenic behavior, are now directing their anger towards the most active SBiH councilors in Novi Grad.

NiP has moved from keyboards and bots to publicly intercepting councilors and issuing direct threats. Drawing a target on Srdić and his family is the most heinous form of political confrontation with dissidents.

The support for these public attacks and threats against the family by NiP members is a shot at multi-ethnic Sarajevo and the coexistence of all peoples living in it," emphasize KV SBiH Sarajevo.

They note that the citizens of Novi Grad, by electing Srdić to the Municipal Council of Novi Grad, have shown the multi-ethnic side of this municipality.

"Instead of working for the general good of all political subjects, we are now getting the law of the streets where members of martial arts clubs will threaten any political dissident.

We can understand the bots, scoundrels, karatekas, boxers, and other thugs, because they are losing influence in society, and the political support of the people is irreversibly disappearing, but this is no excuse for NiP members to now direct their actions towards thuggish behavior.

Even a fall is a flight, and every flight has its end, so show dignity when you realize at the end of the flight that you have felt the hard ground.

Open threats are the initial form of violence, and we demand that these thugs be found and stopped because this city, and its residents, deserve no form of violence, neither physical nor through keyboards. 2026 is an election year, stop the violence in time," states the press release from KV SBiH Sarajevo, signed by president Almir Bečarević.
