KUZIP announces intensified inspection oversight of passenger transport via the 'Aeroo APP' in ZDK area

(Patria) - Following the launch of the 'Aeroo APP', which has been presented to the public and advertised as a new form of passenger transport, i.e., taxi transport, the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton - Road and Road Traffic Inspectorate informs the public that, according to available information, this is an attempt to carry out an activity that is contrary to the Law on Road Transport of the Federation of BiH.

According to available information that can be found in the application itself and on internet search engines, the said application offers services of public non-scheduled passenger transport (taxi transport) which is not in accordance with Article 11, paragraph (3) of the Law on Road Transport of the FBiH (Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH, Nos. 28/06, 02/10, 57/20 and 44/22).

In this regard, the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, through the Road Traffic Inspectorate, will in the coming period carry out intensified inspection oversight and take legally prescribed measures against all natural/legal persons found to be performing activities not in accordance with positive regulations, with a special focus on activities carried out via the 'Aeroo APP'.

The Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs appeals to citizens to proceed with caution regarding registration and use of the said application for the purpose of providing transport services until such services are performed in accordance with the law.

Persons who perform taxi transport activities illegally will be sanctioned in accordance with applicable regulations, which includes imposing misdemeanor penalties, as well as the measure of temporary removal of the vehicle from traffic, and ultimately confiscation of the motor vehicle, announced the Press Service of the ZDK.
